What we collect

When you send us a form – a quote request, the cost calculator, or the contact page – we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email, property address, and the details of your project. Separately, our website collects usage analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you interact with pages) through the tools described below.

How we use your form data

When you send us a form, we use that information to contact you about your request – to ask follow-up questions, book the site visit, and prepare your quote. If you become a client, the same information is used to schedule and perform the work, invoice, and honour warranties. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for.

Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure site traffic – which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and what devices they use. GA4 sets cookies and collects usage data under Google's privacy policy; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We also partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with the site through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay, used to improve the site and our services. Neither tool is used to identify you by name; your form submissions are stored separately from analytics data.

Cookies

The site uses cookies for the analytics tools above and for basic site function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site remains usable without them.

Sharing

Information is shared only where needed to deliver the work – for example with our vetted hardscape or carpentry partners on a project they help build – and with service providers (such as email, scheduling, and the analytics tools above) bound to protect it.

Retention and access

We keep client records as long as needed for warranties, accounting, and legal requirements. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete what we are not legally required to keep – email info@ottawanlandscapers.ca.
